漢學研究中心「外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助」自1989年7月開始實施已逾25年，獎助研究之對象為國外大學相關系所之外籍教授、副教授、助理教授、博士候選人，以及學術機構之研究人員，已補助過來自40多個國家的外籍學人400餘人。「世界漢學學友會」即為漢學研究中心為了凝聚歷年中心獲獎訪問學人情誼，及協助學人間聯繫管道而成立之社團。漢學研究中心特邀請世界漢學學友在訪臺期間，於本中心舉辦「寰宇漢學學友講座」專題演講暨學術討論會。

講題：中學西漸中的「如畫學說」：從中國庭園藝術的文化越界管窺人類自然觀的同異
主持人：楊儒賓（國立清華大學中國文學系講座教授）

本演講重訪十八世紀間英國文人對中國士大夫庭園藝術的借鑒和論爭，聚焦於東方哲理在山林庭園建構中的「體現」，著重凸顯該技藝移植於英倫三島之過程中所觸發的社會功用性（social utility）；從而披露「如畫學說」（The Picturesque）在西人再次認知自然，並重新界定人類與自然關係的過程中的矯正和療癒之功；以此揭示人認知自然時必先有「置身其間的體悟」（embedded cognition），方才有人與物界密切的感官交融。然而，正因缺乏人與非人、情感與物體、具象與抽象等之間觀賞田園的的「聯結」跟「合成」，而使英倫藝術家們偏重如畫學說中所潛藏的「意像性」及「靈虛化」，片面地苛求觀賞山林田園時必達一覽無遺，悠遠深叡的養眼之效，進而完成還原山水之「本來面目」的使命，恰不經意地擔當了屆時英國鄉村資產化變革—所謂「圈地運動」—的馬前卒，被歷史記上了廢田毀村，夷為平地而很不光彩的一筆。回觀歷史，以啟迪今世：或許可說當年英國文人「懷仁山林」之創意初衷的夭折，值得當今人文學者針對「愛樹不愛林」，「只講景觀，莫談山水」的偏頗、缺失，進而完善更貼近自然的生態美學觀。

講者簡介
劉辛民（Liu, Xinmin），美國籍，劉教授係美國耶魯大學比較文學博士。曾執教於耶魯大學、匹茲堡大學等校，現為華盛頓州立大學外國語言文化系副教授。本年獲得漢學研究中心「外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助」，來臺灣研究主題為「從生態批評的角度看臺灣語境中的『如畫學說』」。

2017年度外交部「臺灣獎助金」受獎候選人名單已告確定。待候選人接洽取得我國大學校院或學術機構「駐點研究同意函」後，正式成為本獎助金受獎學人。此次申請獎助金者共計395人， 評審委員會於2016年9月30日下午於外交部召開，共有20位評審委員參加審查。經過熱烈討論與審慎評選，最後選出130位受獎候選人（包含40個國家），將自2017年1月起陸續來臺進行為期3至12個月的研究。受獎候選人名單如下（依國籍英文字母順序排列）：

本（2016）年10月19日，漢學研究中心今年第7場「臺灣漢學講座（Taiwan Lectures on Chinese Studies）」前進歐洲漢學重鎮──荷蘭萊頓大學，邀請中央研究院近代史研究所特聘研究員黃克武教授，主講「《天演論》與近代中國的知識轉型（Evolution and Ethics and the Transformation of Knowledge in Modern China）」。

本次講座由萊頓大學魏希德（Hilde de Weerdt）教授主持，並由本中心廖箴編輯代表主辦單位出席。此次的合辦單位荷蘭萊頓大學，為國家圖書館在海外設置「臺灣漢學資源中心（Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies，TRCCS）」的合作單位之一。

畢業於美國史丹佛大學（Stanford University）歷史學博士的黃克武教授，專研中國近代思想史、翻譯史、文化史與中西文化交流史，對於嚴復的學術研究更是首屈一指的名家，不論嚴復的學術思想、翻譯理論、甚或個人家世背景，皆備極嫻熟，瞭如指掌。

講座初始，黃教授先以其2008年出版的英文專書《自由的意義：嚴復與中國自由主義的起源（The Meaning of Freedom: Yan Fu and the Origins of Chinese Liberalism）》探究嚴復對於自由思想的譯介，及其在現代中國自由主義發展上的意義。並進一步分析《天演論》譯書背景，認為嚴復的譯本深受《易經》與荀子之影響，並以此來詮釋西方天演觀念。嚴復強調天演過程之中倫理的價值，並結合了倫理、個人自由與赫胥黎所強調的社會合作，而批評斯賓塞「任天為治」的想法。黃教授指出上述的觀念影響了晚清的革命黨與立憲派，以及民國之後的自由主義者與新儒家。可見此書在近代中國影響深遠，對於鼓舞國人自立圖強，及近代中國知識轉型的影響甚鉅。

藉由圖文並茂的簡報解說，嚴復這位飽受中國傳統與西力雙重衝擊的思想家、教育家、翻譯家之形象，在黃克武教授精準的語言描繪下具體重現。這場饒富學術意義的演講吸引了眾多萊頓大學師生30餘人，包括該校區域研究中心Kiri Paramore教授、漢學系退休教授漢樂逸（Lloyd Haft）皆特別到場聆聽，且提問、迴響極為熱烈，講座最後，由廖箴編輯簡單介紹本中心資源並播放專為海外「臺灣漢學講座」所特別製作的「臺灣漢學研究資源介紹」英文短片，以展現臺灣漢學研究的量能。

國家圖書館漢學研究中心2016年10月15日於匈牙利國家圖書館舉辦「臺灣漢學講座(Taiwan Lectures on Chinese Studies)」，邀請黃克武教授演講中國經典。這場講座是今年在海外舉辦的第六場，現場座無虛席，將近2百名觀眾出席，本館曾淑賢館長亦代表主辦單位出席主持本場講座，我國駐匈牙利代表處陶文隆代表及匈牙利外交與貿易部文化外交司Laszlo Vizi司長皆應邀出席致詞。

黃克武教授的講題為：「雅俗共賞：介紹中國社會中的幾部經典(Admired by Scholars and Laymen Alike: Introducing Some Classics in Chinese Society)」。黃克武教授係美國史丹佛大學（Stanford University, USA）歷史系博士，現任中央研究院近代史研究所特聘研究員。研究領域為明清史、中國近代思想史。主要著作有《一個被放棄的選擇：梁啟超調適思想之研究》、《自由的所以然：嚴復對約翰彌爾自由思想的認識與批判》、《惟適之安：嚴復與近代中國的文化轉型》、《近代中國的思潮與人物》、《言不褻不笑：近代中國男性世界中的諧謔、情慾與身體》等學術專著，以及有關明清文化史、嚴復、梁啟超、胡適、蔣中正等之學術論文八十餘篇。

為搭配本館與匈牙利國家圖書館合作辦理之「文明的印記：圖書的奇幻旅程」古籍文獻展覽，本次講座特別以傳統中國經典為主題，並主要關注有英文與匈牙利文翻譯的作品。為使聽眾更加了解中國經典，本館也於會場準備數本具代表性匈牙利文版本中國經典，如《論語》、《紅樓夢》等書籍於會場供觀眾傳閱，以期更能促進講座的文化宣傳效果。

黃克武教授在演講中指出，所謂「經典」意指歷久不衰而能持續發揮影響力的書籍。在傳統中國社會之中，有相當多的文本可以列入經典之林。其中不僅有哲學、思想意味，也包括一些文字優美或情節曲折動人的文學、史學作品。黃教授以其個人經驗為基礎，在儒釋道經典方面介紹了《論語》、《老子》與一些具代表性的佛經，在文學與史學方面則介紹《史記》、《唐詩》、《古文觀止》、《西遊記》、《紅樓夢》、《金瓶梅》等。並介紹中國人如何閱讀這些典籍，這些傳統著作又如何影響到現代人們的行為舉止與價值觀念？最後，黃教授向聽眾指出，這些作品就像一扇窗戶，透過它們可以瞭解中國文化淵遠流長、歷久彌新的生命力。

本場講座吸引近2百名聽眾前來，在演講之後的提問時間，仍有不少聽眾與黃克武教授交流。講座結束後，隨即舉行「文明的印記：圖書的奇幻旅程」古籍文獻展覽開幕儀式。本次展覽展期為10月18日至12月15日，匈牙利國圖館長Laszlo Tuske表示，該國人民對東方文化特別感興趣，雙邊宜透過合作辦理系列活動之契機，持續深化臺灣與匈牙利之間的文化與學術交流。

《漢學研究》（季刊）擬於2018年6月出版「漢語方言層次研究」專輯，由臺灣大學中文系楊秀芳教授籌劃主編。論文以中、英文撰寫皆可，中文稿以不超過二萬五千字，英文稿以30頁以內為原則，體例請依照本刊「稿約」和「寫作格式」。關於本專輯的規劃構想及目的說明如下：
因為移民遷徙、族群接觸等因素影響，漢語方言形成多層次異讀的現象，這些複雜的異讀現象，使方言研究增添許多挑戰性，也吸引更多學者投入其中。如何合理的解釋層次異讀材料，以建立對方言史的認識，是方言研究重要的課題，可以說，層次研究是漢語方言學最具有理論性開創意義的課題之一。

漢語方言學者很早就指出方言有層次異讀現象，經過多年研究，累積了許多成果，大家逐漸認識到方言層次的構成與性質十分複雜：層次間可能以疊置方式完成其競爭、取代的過程；也可能形成「混血音讀」，而使層次分析更見困難。競爭消融的結果可能只殘餘少數異讀，難以利用來建立對層次的認識；也可能藉由方言的拼合而找出行將消失的語音層次。此外，利用方言構擬古語時，層次異讀材料應當如何處理，層次間的對應關係應當如何釐清，才能夠使古音的構擬更見合理，這些都是必須深思的問題。進一步說，有些特殊或不合規律的層次異讀是受語義和語法變化特殊影響而產生，研究這類異讀材料，還必須加上語義和語法研究的觀點，才能從中了解這些例外音讀的成因，從而使之在層次的分析中得到應有的地位。我們因此逐漸了解到，分析語音層次也不能只看語音的問題。

以上這些成績，為方言層次研究奠定了良好的基礎。近年學界出版了許多種方言詞典、調查報告和研究著作，在理論和方言語料上有了長足的進步和很好的資源。在這樣的基礎上，本刊規劃「漢語方言層次研究」專輯，提供一個發表的平臺，希望凝聚學者的心力，深入探討此一課題，以開發新的研究成果。

The June 2018 issue of Chinese Studies will be a special issue entitled “Strata in Chinese Dialects,” guest-edited by Professor Hsiu-fang Yang of National Taiwan University. Papers can be written in either Chinese or English. The length and style should conform to Chinese Studies’ “Guide for Submissions” and “Style Sheet.”

Due to constant linguistic contact throughout human history, almost every existing Chinese dialect preserves some form of linguistic layer or layers, thus constituting a phenomenon featuring dual- or multi-systems of readings within the same society. These reading systems, or strata, display great significance not only in terms of descriptive linguistics but also historical and comparative linguistics, with scholars increasingly recognizing that research on dialect strata is one of the most challenging and promising frontiers in Chinese linguistics.

This special issue welcomes theoretical or empirical contributions on any topic relating to strata studies of Chinese dialects. All submitted papers will be subject to peer review. For further information about submissions, please visit the Chinese Studies website.

為建立漢學研究優良環境，提昇國內研究水準，及鼓勵海外漢學家來臺研究，國家圖書館漢學研究中心自民國70年成立以來，蒐集漢學資料即為首要工作之一。在國家圖書館的典藏基礎上，本中心制定蒐集方針，加強重點式蒐藏國內外漢學研究資料。近年來為提供國內外學者較為完整之漢學數位資源訊息，本中心於2004年編印《國際漢學研究數位資源選介》，2007年修訂重編，2010年重新修訂增補。

外籍訪問學人應邀參加2016年度雙十國慶酒會

內容簡介：

中華民國國慶酒會是每年國慶活動盛事之一，本（2016）年國慶酒會循例在臺北賓館舉行。為加強國際學術文化交流，本館特別安排漢學研究中心「外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助」及外交部「臺灣獎助金」訪問學人及其眷屬出席盛宴。學人們對於受邀參加我國國慶酒會皆深感榮幸，尤其臺北賓館是國家一級古蹟，鮮少對外開放，因此更顯其機會難得，彌足珍視。

今年出席國慶酒會的學人及眷屬共計29國47人，由本館曾淑賢館長、吳英美副館長及館內單位主管陪同全程參加。今年較特別的是，本館特別邀請刻在臺訪問的波蘭亞捷隆大學（Jagiellonian University）語言學院院長Elzbieta Gorska教授等四人，共同參加國慶酒會，一行人在巴洛克式的古典洋樓建築和戶外庭園中，與四千多名國內外貴賓一起共賞樂曲及歌舞表演，包括臺灣藝術大學學生表演弦樂四重奏，融合傳統、復古及現代感的舞曲及室內管絃樂演奏；以及曾獲海內外金曲獎、葛萊美獎、美國獨立獎三項大獎提名並具豐富國內外大型演出經驗的「十鼓擊樂團」，透過優美音色與強烈節奏帶來氣勢磅礡的鼓樂表演，帶領賓客在歡樂的氣氛中慶賀國家生日。

酒會除備有各式中西美食外，特別提供具有臺灣各地特色的傳統小吃、客家地方菜、原住民風味餐，東南亞風味美食等。也特別安排「捏麵人」及「草編創作藝術」等師傅現場創作，讓國內外賓客在品嚐美酒佳餚同時，亦能見識我國的傳統民俗文化。

酒會中學人與外賓們對於有機會見到我國蔡總統英文、行政院林全院長、外交部長李大維夫婦等政府首長，以及駐華使節代表等，感到特別興奮；部分訪問學人或與我國政要合影留念，或握手寒暄，留下珍貴難得的回憶與情誼。

中華民國外交部鼓勵全球對臺灣、兩岸、中國大陸、亞太區域及漢學等各類研究有興趣的國外大學相關系所的外籍教授、副教授、助理教授、博士候選人與同級的研究人員等來我國各大學院校或學術機構進行研究，以培育未來各國在相關領域的專家，於2010年公布「臺灣獎助金作業要點」(Guideline to the Taiwan Fellowship)，並委由國家圖書館漢學研究中心辦理行政業務及接待事宜。2016年度錄取110人，已陸續來臺研究。
