臺灣閱讀節嘉年華會12月5日盛大舉行，歡迎參加

內容簡介：

一年一度的臺灣閱讀節即將熱鬧展開，11月至12月將在國家圖書館以及全國各地合辦單位舉辦一系列活動。

今年最受矚目的活動則是12月5日（週六）於國家圖書館及週邊廣場、人行道舉辦的閱讀嘉年華會，當天活動相當精彩，包括：閱讀推廣成果展示、親子遊戲、好書分享、作家簽書、書香義賣、數位閱讀、多元文化體驗、民俗小吃、咖啡拉花、閱讀踩街、歌唱表演、文創DIY、故事大觀園、肖像漫畫創作、造型氣球大放送……，歡迎大小朋友前來參加，嘉年華會現場備有精美贈品，歡迎踴躍參加集章和摸彩活動。最後，去年相當受到大小朋友歡迎的小小館長/館員體驗活動，今年也將持續辦理，並於12月12日（週六）推出更加豐富的活動內容，相信又將引起熱烈的響應。

在迎接聖誕氛圍初冬的第一個周末，您最想和誰在一起?想和曹俊彥老師唸唱輕快且逗趣的臺灣歌謠，還是和李仁芳老師悠遊京都、法國巷弄中的生活體驗，還有張大春老師要帶領我們一起和「李白去考試」！12月5日只要您來國圖，「與作家有約」一次完成您的夢想。

第三屆臺灣閱讀節系列活動「與作家有約」將於12月5日上午10時30分於本館簡報室隆重登場。透過作家們在寫作中留下的時光印記，激盪出文字間想像與趣味，傳遞閱讀的感動，會後將舉行作家簽書分享會，創造書迷親近作家的驚喜與互動。

The Harvard-Yenching Library is pleased to announce its Travel Grant Program for the 2015-2016 academic year. The purpose of the grant is to assist scholars from outside the Boston metropolitan area in their use of the Harvard-Yenching Library’s collections for research. There will be nineteen grants of $600 each (seven in Chinese studies, seven in Japanese studies, and five in Korean studies) to be awarded on a merit basis to faculty members and to graduate students engaged in dissertation research. The Center for East Asian Studies’ Japan, China and Korean Studies Library Travel Grants are designed to assist scholars from outside the Chicago metropolitan area in their use of University of Chicago’s East Asian collections for research related to Japan, China and Korea. Priority consideration is given to those at institutions where there are no or few library resources in the East Asian languages, and no major East Asian library collections are available nearby.

For the 2015-2016 academic year, there will be a limited number of grants of $500 each, to be awarded on a merit basis to faculty members, graduate students, and independent scholars engaged in research.

The grant takes the form of a reimbursement for actual travel expenses. Original receipts must be submitted along with a reimbursement form obtained from the Center for East Asian Studies.

Grant funds may be used for:
Travel to and from the University of Chicago library (including mileage)
Copies of pertinent archival resources
Local accommodations
Application Process

The grants are open to citizens of any country. However, all travel to and from the library must be via U.S. carriers. Applications should include a letter, a brief description of the research topic, and an estimated budget.

Applications for the travel grant for the 2015-2016 academic year are now being accepted. The awards must be used before June 30, 2016.

Required Information
Estimate your travel expenses. Travel must originate from at least 100 miles away from the University of Chicago.

Include a 250-500 word description summarizing your project and detailing why the University of Chicago collections are essential to your research.
Include a list of specific collections or resources that you plan to consult.

Graduate students must ask a faculty advisor to write them a letter of recommendation. We will not consider an application complete until we receive the recommendation.

The Center for East Asian Studies at Stanford University is pleased to offer a postdoctoral fellowship in Chinese Studies for the 2016-17 academic year. This award is open to scholars in the humanities and social sciences studying any historical period. The fellowship will begin September 1, 2016 and end August 31, 2017, with a 12-month stipend of approximately $60,000. Fellows are required to be in residence in the Stanford area during the appointment period; to teach one course during the academic year; and to participate in all regular Center activities. Stanford University Press will have first right of refusal for manuscripts produced during the postdoctoral appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS
◆Applicants must have been awarded their Ph.D. no later than August 31 the year in which the fellowship begins, and may not be more than four years beyond receipt of the doctoral degree.
◆In addition to non-affiliated PhD's, this fellowship may be awarded to those who hold continuing, assistant professor-level teaching positions, if they meet other application qualifications.
◆U.S. citizenship is not required.
◆Those who have received their Ph.D. from Stanford University will not normally be considered.
