講題：雷州的風神：颱風與儀典

1735年，雍正皇帝下令在廣東沿海州縣建造風神廟以減輕颱風危害。現今廣東僅在雷州存有一座風神廟，每年端午節舉辦風箏賽以頌風神。與廣東其他沿海州縣相比，雷州於明朝時已被官方視為颱風較為嚴重的區域。我的演講探討明朝地方官所設立的颶風壇與其相關的端午節祭儀，跟流傳至今的清代風神廟之關係。雷州風神廟的歷史也反映了明、清兩朝如何用儀典方式處理颱風問題。

主講人介紹：
蔡瀚霖（Clark L. Alejandrino），菲律賓籍，現為美國喬治城大學歷史系博士候選人。蔡先生的主要研究領域是東亞環境史、晚近帝制及現代中國等。特別聚焦於颱風在歷代對中國沿海地區社會文化的影響。曾於2015年獲得漢學研究中心「外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助」，以「Storm Clouds over China: Typhoons and Society in Late Imperial and Modern China」進行研究。本次則得到蔣經國學術交流基金會獎助，研究主題為「Geographies of Climate: Coastal Guangdong as a Geography of Typhoons in Chinese History」。

「臺灣漢學講座」邀請李明輝教授於捷克查理士大學主講「儒家人文主義與宗教」

本（2017）年12月15日，國家圖書館漢學研究中心與捷克科學院亞非研究所（Oriental Institute, Czech Academy of Sciences）合作，假查理士大學蔣經國國際漢學研究中心舉辦今年第八場「臺灣漢學講座（Taiwan Lectures on Chinese Studies）」。邀請中央研究院中國文哲研究所李明輝研究員，主講「儒家人文主義與宗教（Confucian Humanism and Religion）」。

捷克科學院亞非研究所向來與國圖有非常密切的往來，同時也是本館在海外設置「臺灣漢學資源中心（Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies，TRCCS）」的合作單位之一。本次講座由捷克科學院亞非研究所林昂（Ondřej Klimeš）研究員主持，並由本館漢學研究中心嚴曉珮編輯代表主辦單位出席，國際知名漢學家羅然教授（Olga Lomova，查理士大學東亞研究系系主任，同時也是該校蔣經國國家漢學研究中心主任）與我國駐捷克代表處廖永泰秘書也應邀出席參與本次講座。

李教授於本次演講中指出：不少儒學研究者主張：儒家是一種「人文主義」，故有「儒家人文主義」之說。先秦儒學脫胎於殷商的原始宗教，其後逐漸人文化，但仍保留宗教性。然而，西方近代的人文主義起源於對中世紀以上帝為中心的耶教文化之抗拒，故自始便與宗教形成某種張力、甚至對抗的關係。此即所謂「儒家人文主義」與西方人文主義之間相歧之處。

對於當代新儒家而言，「儒家人文主義」之說是一種普遍認可的觀念，但卻對於這種人文主義的特色則有不同的看法。對徐復觀而言，儒學是不折不扣的人文主義，其宗教性僅是歷史的殘餘而已。但是對唐君毅與牟宗三而言，即使經過了社會文化巨大的轉型，儒家的宗教性依然屬於其本質；換言之，宗教與人文之間的張力構成儒學的本質。這是一種不與宗教對立的人文主義，牟宗三以「人文教」或「道德宗教」稱之。這種宗教是一種無宗教形式的宗教，屬於盧克曼（Thomas Luckmann）所謂的「無形宗教」。根據盧克曼的理論，現代社會的特徵之一便是宗教之私人化，即以教會制度為基礎的「有形宗教」已逐漸為以個人虔信為基礎的「無形宗教」所取代。清末的康有為與當代的蔣慶均主張將儒教制度化而為國教，但是依盧克曼之說，這在現代社會中是不可欲，亦不可求的。

本次講座吸引將近40人參與，其中不少是查理士大學東亞研究系的師生。演講後有不少聽眾提問，大家對儒家思想的歷史轉變、與宗教的關聯、以及其在當前中國與臺灣社會的發展現況等議題，都感到興致盎然。李教授也針對問題一一與大家交換心得，並以臺灣為例，說明儒學思想與規範如何透過民間宗教，例如一貫道，以讀經班等形式在社會基層產生影響力。本中心並於現場發送「外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助」、「臺灣獎助金」等宣傳摺頁，藉以鼓勵更多優秀的外籍學者申請來臺研究，進一步提升臺灣研究的量能。捷克講座成功地為本年度的「臺灣漢學講座」劃下完美的句點。

圖書館漢學研究中心本年度（2017）第七場「臺灣漢學講座（Taiwan Lectures on Chinese Studies）」於12月13日在洋溢著濃厚聖誕氣氛的德國慕尼黑巴伐利亞邦立圖書館隆重登場！本場次邀請中央研究院中國文哲研究所李明輝研究員，主講「儒家是一種宗教嗎？（Ist der Konfuzianismus eine Religion）」，由慕尼黑大學副校長葉瀚教授（Hans van Ess）主持，本館漢學研究中心嚴曉珮編輯代表主辦單位出席。

巴伐利亞邦立圖書館館長Dr. Klaus Ceynowa首先致開場詞，他特別提到該館與國家圖書館的友好互動，除了感謝國圖在該館舉辦講座「臺灣漢學講座」，也預報了未來兩館合作的展覽計畫。接著由特地從柏林趕來共襄盛舉的我國駐德大使謝志偉博士致詞，他用詼諧輕鬆的方式向現場的德國民眾介紹臺灣與臺灣的學術研究，博得許多掌聲。然後是主持人葉瀚教授介紹李明輝教授與他在現代儒學研究的傑出成就。

李明輝教授在一個多小時的演講中指出，自從中西文化在明末開始直接接觸之後，「儒學是否為宗教」這個問題一再成為爭議的焦點。而世界各地的學者，也分別於各自的學理背景下，對此議題提出看法。李教授認為，德國哲學家康德針對基督教所提出的「道德宗教」概念，非常值得參考與借鏡。康德在他的著作《單在理性界限內的宗教》一書中，解釋所謂的「道德宗教」即是一種「理性界限內的宗教」。他將「嗯寵底作用」、「奇蹟」、「祕密」、「邀恩的手段」並列為「理性界限內的宗教之補遺」。康德進一步提出，這些「補遺」是歷史發展之產物，且由於它們與道德宗教的本質相牴牾，故隨著人類理性之發展，終究會為歷史所揚棄。

對於康德及其思想有深入研究的李教授指出，康德的宗教觀面臨一個兩難之局：或者「上帝存在」的設準使其「道德自律」的基本觀點相對化，或者「道德自律」的絕對意義將使「上帝存在」的設準成為多餘。因此，李教授以康德「道德宗教」的觀點來重新省思「儒學是否為宗教？」，以及先秦儒學向「內在超越」的轉向，以及宋明儒學的後續發展歷程。並以此說明，孔子之後的儒學即便逐漸走上「道德宗教」的道路，但也因為有著不同於西方思想的發展歷程，故可以避免康德所面對的兩難之局。

此次講座的合辦單位巴伐利亞邦立圖書館，為國家圖書館在海外設置「臺灣漢學資源中心（Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies，TRCCS）」的合作單位之一，本場次是第一次在該館舉辦的「臺灣漢學講座」。頂著刺骨的寒風，仍有將近90位民眾熱情出席聽講，足見我國於歐洲及德國地區推廣漢學研究之成效。會中李教授以德語講述其多年研究儒學之心得，會後更有相當熱烈的交流與討論。巴伐利亞邦立圖書館館長特地以該館2008年特展「Kulturcosmos der Renaissance」出版品贈予李明輝教授，感謝他擔任這次臺德學術交流的橋樑。本中心並於現場發送「外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助」、「臺灣獎助金」等宣傳摺頁，藉以鼓勵更多優秀的外籍學者申請來臺研究，進一步提升臺灣研究的量能。

近年來「假新聞」(Fake News)開始出現在全球的媒體語彙中，並迅速成為影響世界各地社會及政治的中心議題。回顧人類近代歷史，社會上各類流通資訊即被操縱在各種不同的媒介或權威者管理者手中。然而，當大眾、讀者長期信任這些媒介及其所代表權威性之後，卻在某些特定時期出現戲劇性的變化，並且造成社會及政治秩序的不穩定。為探究此議題，兩天的研討會旨在探討中國歷史上社會及政治媒體出現相對劇烈變化的三個時期，分別為：
（一）出版業開始興起的15世紀末到16世紀初期的明朝
（二）新式的新聞業開始出現的清末民初時期（19世紀末至20世紀初期）
（三）網際網路出現的20世紀末到21世紀初期

本研討會將審視這三個重大變化的影響層面及其歷史脈絡，一方面從一個歷史性的角度來分析不同時代的媒體情況；一方面尋找分析、解釋這些現象的範式(Paradigm)，例如：新的媒體以何種方式對舊有的媒介權威及社會、政治體制形成挑戰？這些媒體的消費者如何改變既有的讀者群？
