閱讀活力．幸福滿溢：2021年臺灣閱讀節活動開跑

110年臺灣閱讀節活動記者會於110年11月29日（星期一）上午10時，在國家圖書館1樓簡報室外川堂舉行，由臺北市東門國小「唯舞讀尊—拉丁綜合舞曲」的演出中揭開序幕，現場有近百位來自各合辦單位的代表熱情與會。教育部終身教育司李司長毓娟表示，推動全民閱讀風氣，讓閱讀習慣向下札根，一直是教育部重要的發展政策，藉由補助各縣市公共圖書館建設發展、提升閱覽設備及圖書資訊服務品質、充實多元館藏資源、營造公共圖書館閱讀氛圍等，為圖書館服務建立良好基礎，並提供民眾更好的閱讀體驗，即使面臨疫情衝擊下仍不減閱讀量能，109年全年走入各地公共圖書館次數仍高達7,969萬人次，借閱總人次2,220萬人，並有多達8,015萬冊圖書資料被借閱使用。更值得一提的是，在疫情衝擊下，圖書館的辦證讀者在109年反而新增150萬人，全國民眾累計辦證數達1,839萬張，相較108年成長8.88%。另外，在電子書的閱讀上更展現了防疫時期的閱讀能量，109年電子書借閱總冊數達到363萬冊，大幅增長108萬冊，成長高達42.35%。
教育部自102年起責成國家圖書館規劃的「臺灣閱讀節」，多年來在國家圖書館、國立臺灣圖書館、國立公共資訊圖書館、各縣市公共圖書館、各級學校、出版社及全國文教機構並肩攜手努力下，已建立獨一無二的全國指標型閱讀節慶活動，每年於12月的第一個周末所舉辦的「閱讀嘉年華」更受到大家引頸期盼，歷經九年深耕，結合全國各界齊力推動，持續點燃大家的閱讀熱情，「臺灣閱讀節」更於2020年榮獲美國圖書館協會（ALA）「國際圖書館創新服務獎」，其創新性及永續性可作為國際間圖書館的典範，相信今年的活動一樣非常精彩可期。

第一屆教育部圖書館事業貢獻獎

第一屆教育部圖書館事業貢獻獎頒獎典禮於本（110）年11月26日（星期五）下午2時於國家圖書館藝文中心3樓國際會議廳舉辦，對於推動全國圖書館事業發展極具歷史性及指標性的意義。
教育部自101年起委由國家圖書館每兩年舉辦1次「圖書館傑出人士貢獻獎」選拔，截至107年共辦理4屆，累計表揚14位地方首長及18位公共圖書館主管與館員，對於近10年臺灣公共圖書館營運發展具有引領前瞻的效應，續於109年9月16日訂定《教育部圖書館事業貢獻獎實施要點》提升至部層級獎項，延續該獎項設置之精神，將其效益擴及至各類型圖書館，設置「標竿圖書館獎」、「傑出圖書館館員獎」、「傑出圖書館主管獎」、「地方首長獎」及「特別貢獻獎」等5大獎項，每兩年辦理1次，以表揚致力地方公共圖書館建設之地方首長，以及對健全圖書館事業營運發展或推動全民閱讀風氣具有重大且特殊貢獻之團體或個人，以發揮其影響力，對於全國各類型圖書館之發展，樹立指標性之標竿學習楷模。
本次表揚「地方首長獎」2名、「標竿圖書館獎」6名、「傑出圖書館主管獎」4名及「傑出圖書館館員獎」5名，共17名。傑出圖書館主管獎，國家圖書館李宜容主任勇於突破及創新，領導同仁推動博碩士論文、期刊文獻及引文索引等多項全國系統的優化和精進，並爭取全文授權，提升臺灣的學術水準和研究品質。
藉由本獎項表揚帶動地方政府首長重視圖書館事業發展，提升圖書館館員專業形象，為我國圖書館事業朝向具競爭力之國際級優質圖書館系統，奠定堅實的基礎。

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature is in the Faculty of Arts that offers diversified programmes including the undergraduate and the postgraduate programmes. There has been a clear position of the Department that sets a foothold in Asia with a global vision, aiming at combining tradition with modernity and promoting traditional culture while also keeping pace with the progress of the times.
The Department is now inviting applications for the post of Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in the area of Chinese linguistics. Applicants with research interests in interdisciplinary studies under an experimental approach are particularly preferred. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in the relevant discipline; (ii) a strong research background in areas that will contribute or add to the existing strengths of the Department ; (iii) a track record of scholarly research and publications as well as potential for research grant writing; and (iv) a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong record of research accomplishments and a strong interest in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Lee Kong Chian Fellowship is the core of the Lee Kong Chian NUS-Stanford Initiative on Southeast Asia, a joint effort established in 2007 by the National University of Singapore and Stanford University to raise the visibility, extent, and quality of research scholarship on contemporary Southeast Asia. The infrastructure for research pursued through the fellowship is provided by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at NUS and the Southeast Asia Program in the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) at Stanford. Although we do not expect the following guidelines for applicants to change, they could be altered depending on conditions related to COVID-19.
Lee Kong Chian NUS-Stanford fellows spend three or four months at Stanford and two to four months at NUS, writing and conducting research on, or related to, contemporary Southeast Asia. One or two candidates may be awarded fellowships each year. Fellows have opportunities to present their research and participate in seminars and workshops organized by relevant campus units. Exposure to the two universities and their scholars and resources enrich and diversify collegial feedback on the fellows' research projects and facilitate intellectual exchange and networking on both sides of the Pacific.
Interested individuals with backgrounds or positions in the social sciences or humanities are encouraged to apply. Candidates may be of any nationality or seniority.
Appointments will begin and end within the period from 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2023. In determining the overall length of the fellowship and the sequencing of residence at each campus, fellows’ preferences are taken into account.
Each fellowship covers one roundtrip economy-class airfare from the fellow's country of residence to NUS (or Stanford), continuing on to Stanford (or NUS), and returning from Stanford (or NUS) to the fellow's country of residence, and includes a stipend of US$ 7,500 per month during the fellowship period.

90年代對於「台灣文學」而言，是值得特別記憶的時刻，社會各界歷經一番艱辛過程，台灣文學學科終獲成立。不過，從學科出現迄今，台灣文學研究系所雖然陸續成立，但關於知識系統的建置，仍不斷面臨各式挑戰，包括：致力追求本土化的知識特徵，是否會流於侷限？怎樣可以促進台灣文學研究邊界擴大？又要如何才能快速與世界接軌，達到國際化目標？在面對近期出現的「華語語系文學」熱潮，或早已耳熟能詳的「東亞研究」論，以及先前出現過的「民國文學」話題，台灣文學的研究對象是否也該進一步擴及「華文文學」和「東亞文學」、「民國文學」呢？
上述所論，攸關著什麼是「台灣文學」的定義，以及學科知識邊界何在的問題。而耐人深思處尚不僅於此，以目前所見多種文學史而言，討論範圍多集中於台灣本島自身現象與發展狀態，未能擴及金門、馬祖、澎湖，乃至於其他離島地區。那麼，該如何建構和想像一部具有宏觀視野的「台灣大文學史」？文學政治與地理疆界關係要怎樣進行探討？從「島嶼」研究視角入手是否可行？又，面對前述晚近十餘年來的新興研究議題，是該予以收編、串連或拒斥？以上，均為台灣文學史的內容考掘、輪廓勾勒和書寫實踐工作，帶來許多挑戰和刺激，在在提醒台灣文學學科需要時刻保持反省，並以此尋找更上層樓的新動力。
