講題：漢城的意義：遼代城市與民族的歷史書寫新論（On the meaning of Hancheng: Cities and Ethnicity in the historiography of the Liao） 主持人：方震華（國立臺灣大學歷史學系教授） 演講摘要： 在中國史上，遼朝最顯著的特點乃是其以「因俗而治」為方針，對不同民族施行二元統治制度。契丹統治者同時治理北方游牧部族及中原後裔之農耕城居漢民。二元制的實體典範可見於遼上京城址。百餘年前對遼上京城址的考古調查呈現城址分南北兩區，學者往往將此與史料中對遼上京的記載聯繫起來，即皇城之南別作一城，名為漢城。然而，通過詳細參考歷史文獻章節段落卻發現所謂「漢城」的歷史依據有待商榷。在我們標誌上京南城為漢城時，我們要追問在這種情況下何謂「漢」？「漢城」之「漢」為何物？ 本演講結合兩種史學界的趨勢。一是英文學界正在問「漢」為何物，將史料中對人群的命名視為隨時代、政治條件而變化的偶然產物，而非固定不變的範疇。二是中文學界探討「史實的淵源何在」，考證一向作為史學基石的史料文本如何在編撰與流傳過程中逐漸脫離過去事實情況。借鑑此兩種方法，本演講分析史料中對遼朝「漢城」的種種記載，在呈現記載中「漢城」的實質的同時，也說明這些記載如何不僅影響北宋人對遼朝的理解，也形塑宋人的自我認同。具體而言，北宋史家借用遼朝官僚體系中的用語「漢」來宣稱與遼朝中的中原後裔之間具有跨境的親緣關係。簡而言之，宋人透過敘述遼朝建城的歷史，建構了一種新的「漢人」身份認同。 In Chinese history, the Liao dynasty is famous for its the dual administration along ethnic lines, whereby the Kitan rulers governed both a nomadic empire and cities of large populations of Han people from the Central Plains. This is exemplified in the site of the Upper Capital, Shangjing, rediscovered over a century ago. Archaeology reveals a city divided into two walled districts, which scholars have been quick to connect to a historical description of the city having an “imperial city” in the north and a “Han city” in the south. But a closer, critical examination of the historical account complicates this tempting connection between history and archaeology, and calls on historians and archaeologists to qualify what does “Han” mean in this context? What is “Han” about the “Han city” at Shangjing? This paper brings together two promising trends in the scholarship of Chinese history occurring simultaneously: Anglophone scholarship asking “what does Han mean?” and treating identity labels such as Han in historical texts as contingent and mutable rather than fixed and unchanging categories, Sinophone scholarship asking “where do historical facts come from?” and destabilising the textual record by which we understand the past, tracing the contingencies of compilation and transmission. Implementing this twofold critical approach, I analyse the historiography of various references to “Hancheng” in writings about the Liao, presenting both the substance of these accounts, and also how the accounts came to inform Song perceptions not only of the Liao but also of themselves. Writing on the Hancheng, shows how a Liao administrative term “Han” became adopted by writers in the Northern Song to claim an affinity with descendants from the Central Plains living on the other side of the Liao border. I argue that, in their narrations of the building of Liao cities, Song writers were building a novel Han Chinese identity. 主講人簡介： 白嵐史，目前為國家圖書館漢學研究中心獎助學人。本年九月起將於牛津大學歷史學院任訪問研究學者。英國伯明翰大學歷史學博士。曾經在伯明翰大學、阿伯丁大學、早稻田大學、耶路撒冷希伯來大學以及中央研究院歷史語言研究所任博士後研究學者。研究領域為遼代的歷史與考古，目前正在撰寫若干涉及遼代石刻文獻、城市社會與邊疆族羣的期刊論文，以及一本專著，探討遼朝政治與社會中，官僚與貴族的對抗。 Lance Pursey is currently a research grant recipient at the Center for Chinese Studies. In September 2026 he will join Wadham College, Oxford as a Koch History Centre Fellow. He received his PhD from the University of Birmingham, and has since held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Birmingham, University of Aberdeen, Waseda University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Institute of History and Philology at Academia Sinica. His field of research is the history and archaeology of the Liao Dynasty. 講題：雙重敘事之城：酷兒視角下曼谷的矛盾敘事（A City of Two Tales: The Conflicted Story of Bangkok Narrated Through Queer Eyes） 主持人：邱愷欣（國立臺灣師範大學東亞學系副教授） 演講摘要： 借助韓流（Hallyu）所帶動的全球文化浪潮，泰國Boys' Love（BL）劇集已經從小眾娛樂類型，演變成一種強大的文化生產與軟實力形式，並在COVID-19疫情後，深刻地重塑了泰國的社會文化景觀與城市想像。本場演講主張：我們不應僅將BL視為一種以同性浪漫為中心的文本類型，而應將其理解為一種「空間生產技術」（spatial technology）：它使曼谷得以被重新想像、行銷，並被納入更廣泛的政治協商之中。透過數位串流平台與跨國粉絲社群的交流，BL已成為一種情感基礎設施，重塑了國內觀眾與全球觀看者感知曼谷這一超大城市的方式。 本次演講聚焦於三部具有代表性的作品——《他不是我》（Not Me, 2021）、《黑幫少爺愛上我》（KinnPorsche, 2022）以及《照耀之光》（Shine, 2025）——藉此檢視受BL形塑的酷兒特質（queerness）如何建構出相互競逐且充滿矛盾的曼谷城市想像。本分析追隨我所謂的「BL導向凝視」（BL-directed gaze），穿梭於電視螢幕、日常與超現實空間之間，論證酷兒情感如何被投射到城市的街道、購物中心、咖啡廳、夜生活區、文化遺產地和政治地標上。這些媒介化景觀將曼谷轉化為一個具國際辨識度的目的地，使酷兒親密感、都會主義消費和文化多樣性，成為這座城市全球品牌的核心元素。 然而，這種華麗的都市奇觀僅代表了曼谷現實其中一個面向。在國際粉絲和遊客所消費的精緻影像之下，隱藏著由當地居民日常經驗所構成的另一面：他們持續面對日益擴大的社會不平等、政治兩極化、不穩定性（precarity），以及尚未解決的公民權與性權利抗爭。因此，當代BL同時生產了兩種曼谷敘事：其一是「面向國際」的大都市，將酷兒能見度商品化，並使其成為推動觀光與創意產業的引擎；其二則是「面向國內」的城市，在這裡，酷兒與性少數群體的生活依然與未竟的民主化、經濟轉型與社會正義等課題糾纏在一起。這兩種城市敘事並非彼此孤立，而是不斷交織，揭示出商業化的酷兒能見度與現實生活處境之間的深層張力。 正是在這種矛盾之中，BL獲得了更廣泛的社會政治意義。由BL重新想像的酷兒空間，往往超越其商業初衷，成為新的身分認同、社群形成和政治鬥爭得以浮現的場域。隨著粉絲實踐（fan practices）日益與青年行動主義及LGBTQ社會運動接軌，BL所培育的情感世界有助於擴大公眾對於性別多樣性、公民權和社會不平等的討論。雖然不應將BL視為法律改革的唯一驅動力，但它確實促進了更廣泛的文化與社會條件，提升了LGBTQ群體的能見度與公眾支持，並最終讓泰國成為東南亞第一個同性婚姻合法化的國家。 這一文化轉型亦必須置於泰國特殊的歷史脈絡中加以理解。因其獨特的地緣政治地位，面對區域與全球權力格局的持續變動，泰國長期展現出高度策略性的調適能力。以BL產業為例，泰國運用流行文化、觀光與酷兒可見性的高度彈性，正反映出其歷史上在相互競逐的帝國與殖民力量之間周旋的適應能力。就此而言，經由BL所形塑的曼谷都市主義圖景，講述的不僅僅是一個關於性／性別或媒體產業的故事；它也提供了一種重新理解文化生產的方式，使我們得以看見社會如何藉由文化資源協商地緣政治的不確定性，並重新想像國家認同。這些洞見並不僅限於泰國，也為亞洲其他社會，包括臺灣，提供了重要的比較視野：這些社會同樣面臨著加劇的地緣政治對抗，並試圖在經濟發展、文化開放與民主抱負之間取得平衡。 Riding the global momentum generated by the Korean Wave (Hallyu), Thai Boys'Love (BL) dramas have evolved from a niche entertainment genre into a powerful form of cultural production and soft power, profoundly reshaping the sociocultural and urban imaginaries of Thailand in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than treating BL simply as a genre centered on same-sex romance, this presentation argues that BL functions as a spatial technology through which Bangkok is reimagined, marketed, and politically negotiated. Through its circulation across digital streaming platforms and transnational fan communities, BL has become an affective infrastructure that reorganizes how the city is experienced by domestic audiences and global spectators. Drawing on three influential productions—Not Me (2021), KinnPorsche (2022), and Shine (2025)—I examine how BL-inflected queerness constructs competing urban imaginaries of Bangkok. Following what I term a “BL-directed gaze,” the analysis moves across televisual, mundane, and hyperreal spaces to demonstrate how queer affects are projected onto the city's streets, shopping malls, cafés, nightlife districts, heritage sites, and political landmarks. These mediated landscapes transform Bangkok into an internationally recognizable destination where queer intimacy, cosmopolitan consumption, and cultural diversity become central to the city's global brand. Yet this glamorous urban spectacle represents only one dimension of Bangkok's reality. Beneath the carefully curated images consumed by international fans and tourists lies another side inhabited by local residents negotiating widening social inequalities, political polarization, precarity, and unresolved struggles over citizenship and sexual rights. Contemporary BL simultaneously produces these two versions of the city: an outward-facing metropolis that commodifies queer visibility as an engine of tourism and creative industries, and an inward-facing city where queer lives remain entangled with the unfinished projects of democratization, economic restructuring, and social justice. Rather than existing in isolation, these two urban narratives continually intersect, revealing the tensions between commercialized queer visibility and lived realities. It is precisely within this contradiction that BL acquires its sociopolitical significance. The queer spaces reimagined through BL frequently exceed their commercial origins, becoming sites where new forms of identification, community formation, and political struggle emerge. As fan practices increasingly intersect with youth activism and LGBTQ social movements, the affective worlds cultivated by BL have helped expand public conversations about gender diversity, citizenship, and social inequalities. While BL should not be understood as the sole driver of legal reforms, it has contributed to the broader cultural conditions that enhanced LGBTQ visibility and public support, culminating in Thailand becoming the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize same-sex marriage. This cultural transformation needs to be situated within Thailand’s longer history of strategic adaptation to shifting regional and global power configurations. The remarkable flexibility with which Thailand has mobilized popular culture, tourism, and queer visibility reflects a broader historical capacity to navigate competing imperial and colonial forces. In this sense, Bangkok's BL-mediated urbanism offers more than a story about sexuality or media industries; it provides a model for understanding how cultural production can become a resource for negotiating geopolitical uncertainty and reimagining national identity. These insights speak beyond Thailand, offering comparative perspectives for societies across Asia, including Taiwan, that similarly confront intensifying geopolitical rivalry while seeking to balance economic development, cultural openness, and democratic aspirations. 主講人簡介： 張毅現任香港嶺南大學文化研究系副教授，曾任美國肯塔基大學性別與婦女研究系副教授。其研究旨在探討亞太地區在全球化與去全球化過程中的各種爭議與變遷，並透過性別、種族、族群、性取向／情慾與階級等面向為切入點，對相關議題進行交叉性分析。透過此視角，他持續關注全球權力關係如何形塑跨境流動與社會實踐，並探討在此過程中所形成、用以抗衡各種霸權機制的跨境抵抗網絡。 作為一名橫跨人文與社會科學的跨學科學者，張毅的研究成果廣泛發表於多個領域的頂尖國際期刊，其中包括《亞洲研究季刊》、《美國季刊》、《女性主義研究》、《電影與媒體研究季刊》、《女性主義媒體研究》、《銀幕》和《國際女性主義政治學期刊》等，並有文章收入多部國際學術論文集。此外，他著有專書《可怕的慾望：新自由主義中國下的愛之運用》，該書榮獲亞洲研究學會美國東南區年會頒發之2023年度優秀圖書獎。 Charlie Yi Zhang is Associate Professor of Cultural Studies at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Gender and Women's Studies at the University of Kentucky in the United States. His research examines the contested processes of globalization and deglobalization in the Asia-Pacific, analyzing them through the intersecting lenses of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and class. He also investigates cross-border networks of resistance against diverse forms of subjugation shaped by these dynamics. An interdisciplinary scholar working at the interface of the humanities and social sciences, Zhang has published widely in leading journals across multiple fields, including The Journal of Asian Studies, American Quarterly, Feminist Studies, Journal of Cinema and Media Studies, Feminist Media Studies, Screen, and International Feminist Journal of Politics, as well as in several anthologies. 講題：透過聲光媒介形塑臺灣的全球形象（Shaping Global Perceptions of Taiwan through Sound and Light） 主持人：沈雕龍（國立清華大學音樂學系助理教授） 演講摘要： 本演講源自於我目前的研究，主要的脈絡就是個人與政府如何利用聲音跟視覺媒體來創造對當代臺灣國族身份認同的理解。在這個演講中，我以臺灣2022年國慶總統府建築光雕展演為主要的例子。透過這個以及其他的例子，我呈現當代臺灣的國族性、公民身份以及身份認同不僅包括擁有共同的歷史、語言及神話的想像的共同體，而且也來自於共感的共同體。 聲光秀是把動態影像、音樂以及抽象的燈光投影到經典的建築或標誌性的風景上的展演，近幾十年來，這類奇觀式的展演在世界各地作為觀光景點盛行，比如說希臘的衛城及中國的西湖。2017年以來，臺灣國慶活動也包括一種聲光秀，常常俗稱總統府燈光秀。2022年的國慶燈光秀以臺灣電影史為主題，把25部標誌性的影片串聯在一起來創造臺灣的一個電影正典。烘托這些影像的，是由音樂劇作曲家王希文編曲的一個組曲，該組曲收錄了1940年代到2010年代的經典臺灣歌曲。 國慶燈光秀是臺灣的政府、半官方單位以及私人行為者都交會、共同建構當代臺灣性的場域，因此該秀特別適合探討當今關於臺灣國族身份認同的發展、爭論以及矛盾。不過，這個演講不會聚焦於燈光秀的旁白、畫面與電影，我反而認為這個活動主要的目的就是要引起觀眾的情緒反應。透過細讀與觀眾的訪談，我認為，為了牽引觀眾對國家的情緒以及創造新的共感共同體，王希文的樂譜與臺灣的全球頂尖的科技能力及本土電影傳統融合在一起。 This talk grows out of my current work on the ways that individual and state actors mobilize sound and visual media to craft contemporary visions of Taiwanese identity. I focus on Taiwan's 2022 National Day sound-and-lights show (SLS) as my primary case study. Through this and other case studies, I show how nationhood, citizenship, and identity in contemporary Taiwan do not simply comprise an imagined community of shared history, language, and mythology, but also emerge from a community of shared feeling. SLSs—spectacular shows that project moving images, music, and abstract lighting onto classical architecture or famous landscapes—have proliferated in recent decades as tourist attractions at sites as diverse as Greece's Acropolis and China's West Lake. Since 2017, Taiwan's annual National Day celebrations have also included an SLS projected onto the Presidential Office Building in Taipei. The 2022 National Day SLS centered on the theme of Taiwan's film history, stitching together 25 iconic films to create a Taiwanese cinematic canon. Underscoring these media was a medley of classic Taiwanese popular songs from the 1940s to the 2010s, arranged by musical theater composer Owen Wang. Taiwan's National Day SLS is a particularly apt site to read current developments, debates, and tensions around Taiwanese national identity, as it provides a site where multiple governmental, semi-governmental, and private actors intersect in the process of building a statement of contemporary Taiwaneseness. However, rather than focusing explicitly on the content of the SLS's narration, images, and films, I suggest that events like this are designed to elicit emotional reactions from audience members. Drawing on close readings and interviews with audience members, I suggest that Wang's score blends with Taiwan's world-leading technological prowess and local cinematic traditions to entrain citizens' emotional responses to the nation and to forge new communities of shared feeling. 主講人簡介： David Wilson衛大偉是美國南加州克萊蒙特市哈維·穆德學院（Harvey Mudd College）的助理教授，2026年夏天他同時也是國家圖書館漢學研究中心的訪問學人。衛教授主要研究臺灣與中國當代的音樂媒介，目前的研究計畫聚焦於戲劇、電影、文學與多媒體藝術裝置等領域的案例，探討音樂如何在當代臺灣與中國形塑、建構並維繫人民與國家之間的情感連結。 衛教授參與了許多研討會，包括美國音樂學會、北美的民族音樂學會、國際傳統音樂與舞蹈學會、以及國際Balzan基金會贊助的專題研討會，並曾於史丹佛、國立陽明交通大學等校演講。他也經營一份名為《Unmusable》的Substack電子報（deiwei.substack.com）。 衛大偉為雙博士學者，2024年於芝加哥大學獲得民族音樂學的博士學位，當時得到芝加哥大學的教務長博士論文撰寫獎學金。2016年於南加州大學的桑頓音樂學院獲得聲樂博士學位，當時得到優秀畢業生獎。 David Wilson is a scholar of contemporary Taiwanese and Chinese musical media. Drawing on case studies from stage, film, literature, and multimedia art installations, Dr. Wilson’s current research explores the ways that music forges, structures, and sustains emotional bonds between citizen and state in contemporary Taiwan and China. Dr. Wilson is an assistant professor at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA. During the summer of 2026 he is also a Research Grant Fellow at the Center for Chinese Studies at Taiwan's National Central Library. He has presented his research at conferences and universities including the American Musicological Society, the Society for Ethnomusicology, Stanford University, Taiwan's National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the International Council for Traditional Music and Dance, and multiple symposia funded by the International Balzan Foundation. He also maintains a public-facing account of his work in the Substack newsletter Unmusable (deiwei.substack.com). David received his PhD in ethnomusicology from the University of Chicago, where his dissertation was supported by a Provost's Dissertation Completion Fellowship. 情定威尼斯 國圖漢學中心與蔣基會參與歐洲漢學學會雙年會 推廣臺灣人文領域研究成果

為傳布臺灣漢學研究成果，國家圖書館（以下簡稱國圖）漢學研究中心與蔣經國國際學術交流基金會（以下簡稱蔣基會）於2026年7月21日至25日期間共同前往義大利威尼斯大學（Ca' Foscari University of Venice）參加世界重要學術盛事歐洲漢學學會（European Association for Chinese Studies, EACS）第26屆雙年會。本次除規劃主題書展，並於當地時間7月22日下午舉辦贈書儀式。我駐米蘭臺北辦事處林讚南處長亦蒞臨致詞，並與蔣基會陳純一執行長共同代表臺灣捐贈威尼斯大學。該校由圖書館館長Dario Pellizzon博士代表接受。 國圖翁誌聰代理館長表示，國圖向來以傳布臺灣優質學術成果為基礎，推動國際交流，而近十餘年來更深耕歐陸地區。有鑑於歐洲漢學學會雙年會為全球重要漢學活動場域，匯聚歐洲及世界各地研究者提供學術發表與交流園地，因此國圖歷次均與蔣基會合作參與書展，同時連繫歐洲學人交流，並藉由出訪觀摩各國學術機構服務成果。本次雙年會東道主威尼斯大學不僅是歐洲漢學研究重鎮，也是亞洲研究領域的翹楚之一，人才輩出，如該校Tiziana Lippiello校長亦為重要漢學研究者，曾將《論語》、《中庸》等經典由中文翻譯為義大利文。為增進雙邊文化交流，國圖在2018年與該校合作建置「臺灣漢學資源中心」（Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies, TRCCS），由臺灣與該校共同規劃歷年精選入藏圖書，同時也藉由數位資源、電子書的開放，增加當地學者利用臺灣學術成果的可及性。本次主辦雙方特精選超過230種臺灣漢學、臺灣研究及人文社會科學相關優質出版品，相信將深化該校認識與運用臺灣人文社會科學研究成果。 本次書展期間，國圖由漢學中心資料服務組陳麗君組長與學術交流組紀晏如編輯出訪，透過書展接待來自各國之漢學研究者與漢學學友，介紹臺灣各類獎助計畫，並協助近期有意規畫來臺學者認識各典藏機構，提供參考諮詢。也期盼藉此活動促進國圖臺灣漢學研究在國際學界之傳布與品牌。 照片說明：駐米蘭臺北辦事處林讚南處長（右）代表國圖致贈威尼斯大學
